Have real experience running or managing part of a business
Can work independently and solve problems without constant direction
Are comfortable walking into something messy and figuring it out
Care more about useful solutions than impressive-sounding ones
Can communicate clearly with business owners
Are available for project work, ongoing fractional work, or both

WHAT KIND OF WORK?

Depending on your experience, you might help with day-to-day operations, financial oversight, systems, staffing, marketing, project management, or vendor coordination; whatever the business needs most.

And plenty of things that don’t fit neatly into a job title.

Fractional Operators maintain their own professional email, calendar, tools and working methods. The Clarity Dept manages the match, scope, client agreement, billing and quality oversight, while each FO independently manages how they deliver the agreed work.

Payment structure

Every opportunity comes with a defined scope, expected time commitment, support level and predetermined compensation. More complex engagements are matched with FOs whose experience and expertise fit the work.

You review and approve every opportunity before we present the match to the client.

FOs are paid monthly and never have to chase clients for payment. After you submit the form below, we’ll send you our standard compensation structure for Project, Ongoing and Embedded Support engagements.

We believe in clear expectations and full transparency. You always have the option to accept or decline an opportunity.

We’re currently building our first local FO networks in:

Knoxville • Chattanooga • Asheville

Remote-only operators are welcome too.
